If you'd like to do some Stata self-study before the semester begins in earnest, I highly recommend

• UCLA's Stata Learning Modules. I'd focus on the first two “fundamentals”.
• Chapter 1 of UCLA's Regression with Stata

You can use Stata on the cloud at GW; reviews so far are not very encouraging. Contact the TA with questions about how to do this.

You can also Stata on GW library computers. Most students seem to feel this is the better option.

There are many very useful webpages giving advice on Stata. I highly recommend UCLA's Stata page.
